iffat B. Siddiqui earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2008. Since then, she has built nearly two decades of engineering experience through a combination of structural design, research, project management, and field review work in both Bangladesh and Canada.
Early in her career, Riffat worked as an Assistant Engineer with Build Trade Engineering Ltd. and later as a Design Engineer with Zakir Steel Zone Ltd., where she was involved in the analysis and design of a wide range of steel structures. These roles provided a strong technical foundation and developed her practical understanding of real-world construction challenges.
After immigrating to Canada, Riffat continued advancing her engineering career and worked as a Research Assistant with the School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO).
Since joining JMS Engineering Ltd. in 2014, Riffat has played a key role in the successful delivery of numerous structural engineering projects, including foundations, steel structures, and pre-engineered buildings. She became a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) in 2026.
Known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, Riffat is committed to delivering practical and cost-effective engineering solutions. She values building lasting relationships with clients and takes pride in guiding projects with professionalism, clear communication, and reliability.
